Choose a Style
A window's style is how it opens, and that decides how much air you get, how easy it is to clean, and what the room looks like from inside. We install all six, in any material, backed by the same 15-year labor warranty.
Two sashes that slide up and down in the same frame. Both tilt inward, so you can wash the outside of a second-floor window standing in your own hallway. The most common window on Michigan homes, and the safest bet when you want the house to look the way it always has.
Hinged at the side and cranked open like a door. Because the whole sash swings clear, you get the full opening for air, and the seal presses tighter the harder the wind blows. Good over a kitchen sink or anywhere reaching a sash is awkward.
Hinged at the top so the bottom swings outward. The open sash acts as its own little roof, which means you can leave it cracked through a spring rain. Often set high on a wall or paired underneath a picture window.
One sash glides sideways past the other. No crank, no lifting, and nothing sticks out into the room or the yard. A practical choice for wide openings and for basements, hallways, and rooms where furniture sits against the wall.
Fixed glass that does not open. With no moving parts there is nothing to leak air, so a picture window is the most efficient shape we install, and the biggest view. Usually flanked by casements or double-hungs when you still want ventilation.
Several windows joined at an angle so the unit projects past the wall. It adds a shelf of usable space inside, pulls light in from three directions, and changes the front of the house more than any other single upgrade.
Compare Materials
Three materials, one installer. Every window is measured, installed, and warrantied the same way; the right choice comes down to budget, look, and how much upkeep you want to sign up for.
Is It Time?
Windows rarely fail all at once. They give you warning first. If you recognize two or three of these, the window is past repair and replacement is the cheaper answer.
The seal has failed and the insulating gas is gone. Nothing can be done to a sealed unit once it clouds over, so the glass is finished.
Cold air moving across a room in January means the frame, the seal, or both have given up, and your furnace is paying for it.
Warped frames and worn balances are a security problem as much as an annoyance. If a window will not lock, it will not seal either.
Press the wood near the sill. If it gives, water has been getting in for a while, and it is working on the wall behind it.
Heating costs that rise while your habits stay the same usually point at the envelope of the house, and windows are the thinnest part of it.
Old single-pane and failed double-pane glass stops blocking sound long before it looks broken. Quiet is one of the first things people notice after an install.
We do not publish a price per window, because an honest one does not exist. Cost tracks the size of the opening, the material, the glass package, and what the crew finds once the old unit comes out. What we do promise is that you get the full number in writing at the estimate, before anything is ordered, with no pressure to sign that day.

Why Replace
Michigan is hard on windows: lake-effect snow, hard freezes, and humid summers wear on seals and frames year after year. A modern replacement window answers all of it at once. Two or three panes of glass with insulating gas between them, a low-E coating that keeps heat inside in winter and pushes summer sun back out, and a frame that seals tight to the opening. Every opening is measured twice, and every window is built to the exact size of your opening. Nothing is trimmed to fit on installation day, so there are no surprises.

Our own factory-trained crew works one opening at a time, sets and seals each new unit, and puts down floor protection before anything comes out of the wall.

We operate every window with you, show you how to tilt and clean them, haul away the old units, and register your 15-year labor warranty before we leave.

For Michigan, double-pane glass with a low-E coating and argon fill is the sensible baseline: the coating reflects heat back where you want it and the gas slows heat moving through. Triple-pane is worth discussing for rooms facing wind or a busy road. We walk through the options at your estimate instead of selling you the most expensive package by default.
